The Walpole Bay hotel Cliftonville
Cos it was over 90 degrees in London, we went offsky to Cliftonville where it was so hot we couldnt walk outside the hotel. Luckily it was the Walpole bay hotel which we thinks has to be seen to be believed. It is really a hotel in a post war Museum. Scary stuff in the middle of the night. oh but was luverly. We had cream teas to look at..mmmm. no leftovers?. gggrrrr. We only went out after dark, to look at the dogs below walking on the water. Gave us the shivers, and then we saw it actually was a wall to a sea swimming pool and the tide had covered it. Walk on Water? eh What?

Giant whippet spotted in Deal
Muppet the naughty whippet surveys the shingle for beach rabbits at dusk whilst on a short holiday break in Deal.
She was still a little hungry after only getting the end of Mum and Dad's ice creams earlier on in the day. Emmy thought it a little bit naughty of Mum and Dad to tease them with such lovely treats and only to give them the end of the wafers with a little bit of ice cream. Yum

What happens to old dogs in Weymouth
We still in Weymouth that fateful day below called no room at the Inn. Now we need some X ER SIZE cliff walkies. But hey what is that in the doorway? OMG that is wot 'appens to old dogs in Weymouth - they get put on wheelies for some bratty kidsky to ride on. OH NO. RUNFRIT. Finally we do running of our skinny dogz legs on Chesil Beach, all 7 miles of it. We going back in July for our hols and will tell all our peoples that twitter and facebook about our hotel B and B Weymouth booteak with water and electricity we hopes.
No room at the Inn
Well off we went for a short holiday at the seaside in Weymouth. we's excited cos there will be ice creams to steal and donkeys to annoy. But our dogfriendly hotel said no room at the inn, or none with electricity and running water. Hmmmph! our humum is fussy like that. (we's going back another day cos they gives us a freebie). SO we goes walkabouts.
So much to see - Punch and Judy shows (closed). where are the sausages? says Emmy - that's the way to do it!. Whats those fellas doing with the olde bells on their footsies and sticks in their hands. we likes sticks. But we don't like the Wessex dancers dressed as cats. GRRRRR. They is nearly dainty as usk. TIme for snackeroo mmmmm The Old Rooms in Weymouth harbour, yay we gives it 8 BONES. food goodsky and much.

The very handsome Stanley
HI there folksies. It's beeen a long time between posts, we havent been any specials. So just ot keep smiles on you faces here is pictures of our most handsome friend. Tra tra (drumroll) Stanley the Bedlington. He is so super cute that Scarlett our girl-mum scooped him upsky in the park and tried to cuddle him like a baby. Well you would, wouldn't you. It takes a lot of doing to rival us in the cute/glamour stakes but when Stanley had a haircut we knew we would have to up our game. Diamonte? Roses behind our ears? Next week we are goign to Chesil beach to look at something called fossils. Muppet said are they like squirrels? She is very excited. Will keep you posted.

A Jolly day out in Ramsgate
What a jolly day. First sign of sun and we were off to Ramsgate. We filled our bellies aplenty at Churchill's tavern. Fantastic home made burgers, and a view out of the window over Ramsgate harbour. Here we are outside the tavern, full up and ready to rock up to the beach. Look at the harbour, there was some right grand boats in there. Here is a picture of humum's mum Joanie, friend Brenda, and sister Jeanie on the self- same promanade, but in August 1950. They were off to the pavillion to Jive with the American soldiers. Naughty girls. We ran our skinnydogs legs all the ways to the beach, and we went allowed on. Bet it wern't like that in 1947 when this photo of Joanie, her dad Alf, Mum Daisy adn sister Jeanie was taken, They had a blue roan cocker spanial called Bimbo and he had just popped off to get the ice-creams in when this was taken. We visited our friend in Van Gogh's house in Ramsgate, and partook of tea. Joanie's auntie Margie still lives in the house Van Gogh stayed at in Brixton, but thats another story.

Scary stuff
Here we go again. Me and Muppet trolley off down to The Pilot, cos we forgot the pictures last time. We came over all 'chim chimeny chim chimeny' when we saw a Pearly King Cab outside. Decorative or what. Then we met the Man 'imslf. We were gonna photo him but we had no money in our pocketsies. We ate big that day- Roastie dinners. Yum. It was our humums Birthday, so we perambulated along the Thames. We like the Picture of pointy shoes worn in the early days, and wondered if whippets had pointy velvet covers for their noses. Praps not. Emmy got all whippet arsed shivery when she saw the place at Bugsby way where they use to hang folk, until three tides washed over 'em. Nasty.

The Pilot in Greenwich, old river pub
Today we went to The Pilot Pub in Greenwich near the dome, it is very old, for lunch with our bipeds. The sillies forgot the camera. Big shames we say as it was the best pub food, lots of different fishies, and cheese board. But the bestest bit of all was the publican, cos he gave water and SIX dog biscuits. WE LOVE THE PILOT. Next time we go we will photograph it ourselves, but in meantime here is a picture of us, cos we is lovely.

Emmy and Muppet enjoy the kings head in Deal.
Emmy and Muppet enjoyed a bit of steak and Ale pie in the KIngs Head in Deal. It was great to run on the stony beach outside, and they ran all the way to Walmer, a brilliant walk with beach houses and boats all alongside. Ahoy there said Muppet to an old salty sea dog. Brazen Emmy calls it. Brilliant day. We give the Kings Head eight bones.

Emmy and Muppets awfully big adventure
Emmy and Muppet are visiting all the dog friendly pubs on the kent coast and want to tell all dog folk the goods and the bads so you can keep your bipeds informed. They will mark out of ten bones.
First stop The Neptune at Whistable. April 4th
"we likes - very much. MMM. Good undertable fish and a chip from the big ones. Friendly barlady told us all about Ian Dury memorabilia on wall. Then a very rude Dury song featuring Noddy blared out over the loudspeaker. We being very sedate dogs were shocked, but our bipeds laughed. So we guess it must be funny. We give it 8 bones.

Emmylou's first modelling job
When Emmylou first came to us I did lots of little sketches of her curled up and really whippety. I have just found my old sketch book and aaaahhhh is't she lovely? Feel all encouraged to start sketching the whippets again , but you have to be fast. Except when they are sleeping, which of course doesn't happen for much of the day. Not.
